"High-quality, earth-friendly materials"

Choosing materials with a high-quality texture that makes you want to touch them is good for the planet and contributes to a sustainable society.

We carefully select such ingredients.

A material with a high-quality feel that makes you want to touch it

Material 1: Pueblo

This leather is made by Badalassi Carlo using the rawhide of cows over two years old, using the Vacchetta method. The surface is intentionally roughened and napped as a finishing process, making it a very unique leather.

In its initial state, it feels like Japanese paper and has a matte texture that means it has almost no shine, but the more you use it, the more the surface fibers will flatten, the gloss will increase exponentially, and the color will deepen in a short period of time.

The gloss develops very quickly, so the changes are dramatic, and the moist, clingy texture it takes on with use is another big attraction. This is a recommended leather for those who like the aging of leather.

Material 2: Buttero

Made by Conceria Walpier using tannin-tanned leather from the shoulder of a steer. The leather is made from the hard shoulder of a cow, giving it a firm and resilient texture. Although there are individual differences, the stripes that tend to appear on the shoulder may appear slightly.

It is dyed using superior dyeing techniques, so it has a beautiful, transparent color while still having a firm, heavy feel. Although it is not as dramatic as Pueblo, it is a leather that you can enjoy the changes that occur over time.

Material 3: Noblessacalf

This is authentic leather provided by Perlinger, a famous, long-established tannery that has been producing leather since 1864.

Perlinger combines the technology and experience of leather tanning that it has cultivated for over 150 years with modern manufacturing methods to provide a stable supply of high-quality leather. Not only is the tannery high quality, it is also environmentally friendly, and has earned a high reputation from top brands around the world.

The leather has a distinctive feature in that the pattern on the surface is created by embossing. Because the surface is covered with pigment, water does not easily penetrate, and the leather is relatively resistant to dirt and abrasion.

Compared to German shrink made by the same tanner, it has a slightly glossier and crisper texture.

The aging process is less severe than with Pueblo or Buttero, so we recommend this product to those who want to maintain the same texture for a long time.

Choosing materials that benefit the earth and contribute to a sustainable society

Most genuine leather (leather made from animal skin) is made from animal skin that would otherwise be discarded due to livestock farming, and is said to be more environmentally friendly than if it were simply discarded.

In reality, when trying to achieve a desired texture in leather materials, chemicals and additives are often used. The manufacturing and processing of leather using chemicals can produce by-products that are harmful to the environment.

On the other hand, there is also leather that is processed using ingredients derived from plants. For example, leather that is processed using only tannins, a type of polyphenol, is called full vegetable tanning, and moku mainly deals with such leather.

Naturally, using such high-quality materials tends to be expensive, but we are not going to compromise on this.
