The Uno aims to be the perfect wallet.

1. Small and thin

Only 3mm larger than the size of a 10,000 yen bill.

The Uno's actual size is 163mm long x 90mm short, and is 18mm thick (when storing 7 cards, 25 coins, and 25 bills).
The long side of a 10,000 yen bill is 160 mm, so the Uno is only 3 mm larger than a 10,000 yen bill. In terms of the long side, I'm confident that it is more compact than any other long wallet.

Here you can see the design ingenuity of the Uno, which has been granted a design patent.
In order to achieve this minimum class long side, it is not possible to sew the part that forms the bill storage section. If sewing were to be done, it would naturally require some "room" for the sewing, which would make it larger. In our testing, we found that with a structure that involves sewing, no matter how hard we try, the long side will be 5mm longer than a 10,000 yen bill. In other words, we believe that the limit for the long side of a long wallet that uses sewing to form the bill storage section is about 165mm.

Uno does not have sewing on the long sides. Instead of sewing, it is folded and fastened with a hook, achieving a smart design without sewing.

This simple innovation has made it possible to reduce the size by 2mm from the long side of 165mm, which was previously thought to be the structural limit, and makes the product look sharper than the numbers suggest.

Approximately the same size as the iPhone Max series

As another indicator to help you appreciate how compact it is, let's compare it with the Max series, which is considered the larger model in the iPhone series.
As you can see, they are the same size.

If your wallet and smartphone were the same size, you might not even need a bag anymore, or a small bag would be enough.

2. Ample storage capacity

If we focused only on thinness and compactness, we might be able to make it even more compact.
However, you will be giving up storage capacity.

Even though the Uno is small and thin, it still has enough capacity for a long wallet.

Card storage capacity

As you can see, there are 7 card storage pockets in total: 6 + 1.
The card pocket on the coin purse side is completely independent, so if you put an IC card inside, you can tap the IC card at the ticket gate or vending machine without taking out the card.

When storing multiple cards and IC cards stacked together, there is sometimes interference with the other cards and the IC touch does not work properly, but there is no need to worry about that.

In addition, depending on the thickness, you can store two cards in one card pocket. If you want to store a lot of thin cards such as point cards, you can store up to 13 cards by stacking two cards. *Depending on the thickness of the cards, it may be difficult to stack two cards.

Coin storage capacity

In actual size, it can hold 25 coins, including two 500 yen coins. If you don't have the larger 500 yen coins, you can store even more. Isn't this enough for people who tend to have a lot of coins?

Bill storage capacity

In actual size, it can store 30 bills, including ten 10,000 yen bills.
Furthermore, we have not provided any partitions as this would make the structure more complicated and increase the thickness.

3. Cards, coins, and bills are all easily accessible

Cards are easy to insert and remove

There are seven card pockets, all of which are independent. This makes it easier to take out and put in cards than you might imagine, and once you start using it, you'll be hooked.

In today's cashless, card-based society, you probably take out and put in cards more often than you take out coins or bills. This will free you from the stress of having to search for and take out one card from a pile of cards.

Easy to take coins in and out

The coin purse is intentionally shallow. This is because it would be difficult to take coins out if you put it in a deep pocket. We designed it to be just the right depth to comfortably fit the largest coin, a 500 yen coin, while still making it easy to take out.

Additionally, the coin purse faces outward rather than inward, allowing you to take coins in and out directly without opening the wallet, and the wallet's wide opening makes it easy for your fingers to fit through, which is another design innovation.

Easy to take out and put in bills

I think the key to a billfold is to have both a stable and appropriate holding power and ease of inserting and removing bills. If either is too strong, the bills may fall out or become difficult to insert and remove. With Uno, we have managed to achieve both an excellent holding power and ease of inserting and removing bills by adjusting the length of the part that folds in the long side.

Special features

1.Multiple storage pockets

The small space on the coin purse side is a multi-storage pocket.
It can store house keys, Airtag, small amulets, essential medications, etc.

There were some concerns that putting something inside the bag would damage the leather, but after using the prototype for about two months with an item (Airtag) inside, it left some marks but no major issues such as tears.
*However, when storing sharp objects such as keys, please be careful when handling the bag as it may become scratched or torn depending on how you use it.

2. Two expressions: "Rugged front" and "Simple back"

Due to its construction, the stitching on the front side (the coin purse side) is exposed, giving it a somewhat rugged look. You can enjoy the stitching, which is one of the best features of leather goods.

On the other hand, the back side (the card holder side) has no stitching whatsoever, giving it a simple look. We want you to enjoy the pure leather material on this side.

3. One-piece leather construction

When you take Uno apart it becomes one large piece of leather, meaning it has a single piece of leather construction.
The advantage of a single piece of leather construction is that there are fewer stitches, resulting in a smarter design and increased strength and stability.

We carefully select such ingredients.

Material: Noblesse calf

This is the finest leather provided by a famous, long-established tannery that has been producing leather since 1864. This tannery supplies consistently top-quality leather by combining the leather tanning techniques and experience it has cultivated over 150 years with modern manufacturing methods. Not only is the tannery high quality, but it is also environmentally friendly, and has earned a high reputation from top brands around the world.

The leather's characteristics are that it has a uniform pattern created by embossing. The surface is covered with pigment, so water does not easily penetrate, and it is relatively resistant to dirt and abrasion.

The aging process is less severe than with Pueblo or Buttero, making this leather recommended for those who want to maintain the same texture for a long time.

5. The metal fittings are YKK's highest quality zipper "Excella"

When it comes to accessories that use zippers, the smoothness and durability of the zipper are extremely important.
We use EXCELLA, which is said to be the highest class of YKK. It may feel stiff to open and close at first, but it will gradually become smoother.

Special edition only available in black

Only the black version uses black hardware (black-gold version has brass hardware). This applies to the entire zipper including the pull tab, as well as the spring hook and rivet. Brass (gold) is used for versions other than black. The black hardware gives a more chic impression.

The story behind the birth of this product

Since its launch, the company has developed two types of bi-fold wallets (Saku and ICHI).
In particular, Saku, the second generation bi-fold wallet, was created together with supporters of the first generation ICHI, taking into consideration areas for improvement in ICHI, and we are proud to say that it is the best in the bi-fold wallet genre.

On the other hand, based on feedback from Saku users and from our own experience using Saku, the concept of a design that pursued ease of use, something that was not possible due to the structure of a bi-fold wallet, gradually became clearer.

To realize this design, the structure needed to be a long wallet rather than a bi-fold wallet.
This is the reason why I decided to try a long wallet.

Below is a design that we put together in pursuit of ease of use, based on feedback we received about our bi-fold wallet, the "Small and Thin Wallet Saku."
